I love the song that I taught the Vacation Bible School kids last week.
It is based almost entirely on Proverbs 3:5,6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will make your paths straight.
Trust in the Lord, He's like solid ground
Trust in the Lord, He will never, never let you down."
This is hard to live out, since we don't really know what it means to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. It is easier to live just by what we understand. But the step of faith to place our trust in the Lord is a huge step. He enlightens us to understand what our next step should be. Just like the promise in Jeremiah 33:3, where God tells us, "Call to Me and I will answer and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." God is faithful to His Word. He does what he promises to do. So call on Him. Another version of Proverbs 3:5.6 says, "Trust in the Lord
with all your heart; do not depend on your own
understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to
take."
May the Lord reveal Himself and His will to you!
