I love the song that I taught the Vacation Bible School kids last week.
It is based almost entirely on Proverbs 3:5,6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will make your paths straight.
Trust in the Lord, He's like solid ground
Trust in the Lord, He will never, never let you down."

This is hard to live out, since we don't really know what it means to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. It is easier to live just by what we understand. But the step of faith to place our trust in the Lord is a huge step. He enlightens us to understand what our next step should be. Just like the promise in Jeremiah 33:3, where God tells us, "Call to Me and I will answer and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." God is faithful to His Word. He does what he promises to do. So call on Him. Another version of Proverbs 3:5.6 says,  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

May the Lord reveal Himself and His will to you!

Quotation:
The music of the gospel must precede the words of the gospel and prepare the context in which there will be a hunger for those words. What is the music of the gospel? The music of the gospel is the beauty of the indwelling Christ as lived out in the everyday relationships of life.

Here is my favorite poem that has echoed in my head in my years of mothering:
A poem quoted by Elisabeth Elliot
Do The Next Thing
"At an old English parsonage down by the sea,
there came in the twilight a message to me.
Its quaint Saxon legend deeply engraven
that, as it seems to me, teaching from heaven.
And all through the hours the quiet words ring,
like a low inspiration, 'Do the next thing.'

Many a questioning, many a fear,
many a doubt hath its quieting here.
Moment by moment, let down from heaven,
time, opportunity, guidance are given.
Fear not tomorrow, child of the King,
trust that with Jesus, do the next thing.

Do it immediately, do it with prayer,
do it reliantly, casting all care.
Do it with reverence, tracing His hand,
who placed it before thee with earnest command.
Stayed on omnipotence, safe 'neath His wing,
leave all resultings, do the next thing.

Looking to Jesus, ever serener,
working or suffering be thy demeanor,
in His dear presence, the rest of His calm,
the light of His countenance, be thy psalm.
Do the next thing."
